Lucent 3D Cube
The 3D Display Cube is an easy to use graphic system that allows users to display various types of visual information. Lucent 3D by James Clar and Associates allows any designer or animator to create shapes, letters, and other 3D animations for the Cube without having to program! The 3D Cube also allows for external video cameras and audio to be plugged in to display real-time data in true 3D.

Q. Do I need a computer to use the 3D Cube?
A. No. The current version of the 3D Cube has inboard memory allowing you to plug the unit in and have it run on it's own. No computer necessary, just a standard wall outlet for power (110v-220v).
Q. How do I get animations into the Cube?
A. Each Cube comes preprogrammed with animations that you select upon purchase. This makes the Cube "Plug and Play", so when you get the Cube you can simply plug it in and it will run out of the box. This makes it easier for you to use no matter what the application (interior design, signage, etc). We've also included a serial cable to allow you to upload your own video to the Cube. Q. What are the available animations options for the 3D Cube?
A. Upon purchase you will be given the option to pre-load the Cube with animations for your use. You will be able to select patterns or words for every 1 minute increment (5 in total equally 5 minutes). These animations include:
- Spelling of any word or phrase you choose in static or rotating font
- Falling Rain
- Spiral animation
- Double Helix animation
- Wave animation
- Running man
- Box outline
- Plane flying over trees
With development available to anyone who has photoshop, sharing designs with others is very simple.
Q. What sort of upgrades will there be?
A. We are committed to providing you the opportunity to use the Cube for its many applications.The serial cable is provided so users can start downloading their own designs into the Cube. Think of any design, shape or animation in 3D and you will be able to make it for the Cube. And since the animation kit parses standard gif files, you'll be able to easily share your content with other users! See our online tutorial. You can also link multiple Cubes together to make larger 3D displays!
Q. What if I want to integrate the Cube into an interior space/architecture project?
A. We understand the applications of the Cube are diverse, so custom modifications are available for qualifying projects.
Q. Can I use the Cube outside?
A. You can use the Cube outside for night events but keep in mind the Cube is not all-weather proof. The casing makes the display resistant to wind and smoke, but similar to a regular lamp, rain may cause an electrical shortage and damage the circuitry. Q. How long will the LED display last?
A. Our LEDs are top quality white LEDs and are RoHS compliant. Each Cube is run through a burn test to ensure optimal output and viewing angle and each LED is rated to last up to 10 years.
Q. What is the lead time for delivery?
A. Within the United States, approximately 2 weeks for a single Cube. Orders of 5 Cubes or more may take more time to ensure they are packaged safely and arrive in mint condition.
Q. How much is Shipping? What Shipping Methods do you use?
A. Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight and size. Currently we use UPS shipping and allow the buyer to compare and select any method of shipping provided by UPS (UPS Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Saver, Next Day Air Early AM, Next Day Air).
